Catch up 2

So 6 theme parks in 6 days was so much fun but very draining! We went to a waterpark, both universal parks n 3 of disneys parks. After that we headed down to Miami and stayed on south beach for a week. We both got the flu which was a big downer but honestly thought miami was a little disappointing. We spent Australia day sitting on the beach then heading out to a pub crawl with a bunch of other Aussies. The day after we went to the everglades and i was throwing up on the bus there. Seen some big gators though!

After Miami we headed to Tampa where we couch surfed with a really nice family. Not alot to do there we spent our time going on bush walks and yet another theme park called Busch Gardens which had a couple or really good rollercoasters.

New Orleans was next after a 2 day drive. The accommodation there was way too expensive (being superbowl weekend and mardi gra) so we slept in the van both nights, 1st night we went to a mardi gra parade and got heaps of beads then drove to a motel car park and slept in the van. 2nd day we drove to bourbon street and parked the van 1 street across which we ended up sleeping in. We spent the day of superbowl (SF v Baltimore) walking up and down bourbon street drinking and trying the amazing food. Then when it was time to watch the game we got a good spot in one of the pubs, made some friends to drink with and took in the whole atmosphere. After the Ravens won we went into the street to c the whole street flooded with crazy supporters jumping around and chanting. This night was one of the most memorable of our trip! LOVED IT!

It was sad to leave but the next day we set of early to drive half way across the country to return to Vegas. It took us 4 days... day 1: 9 hr drive, day 2: 9 hr drive, day 3: 6 hr drive, day 4: 2 hrs drive. Such a drainer!

This time in vegas we spent a week there just to give us time to sell the van. It only took a few days to sell and we didnt lose much on it at all!

Leaving was very sad as it was our last destination of our trip. Getting home involved a 6 hour bus trip to LA, then a 14 hour plane ride home. Also an hr and a half drive home from the air port.

We didnt tell our parents we were coming home so they got a BIG surprise coming home from work to us sitting in the kitchen when they thought we were somewhere in Texas.

We spent 4 months driving around the States, clocked up 12000 miles! We met so many nice people and made alot of memories ill never forget!

Currently starting to plan my trip through Europe for next year.

Catch up

Been in America for almost 3 months now and thought i should start documenting some stuff so i dont forget any of it and i dont have to tell the same story 100 times. Better late than never

Seen so much already.... Spent a week in Vegas, Loved it but a week was a bit long although cant wait to go back at the end of our trip.

Drove to San Diego and spent a week at the Banana Bungalo Hostel on Mission Beach. That turned out to be our favourite place so far! Also went on a day trip to Tijuana Mexico which was an experience. Then we Drove up to LA and stayed there for a week. Seen the stars, celebrity homes in Beverly Hills and Belair, Hollywood Sign. Also went to Universal Studios which was amazing! Went to 1st NBA game (Lakers v Pistons). There was a great club we went to with a girl dancing in a box with a huge python. After that we drove up to San Francisco and went to Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge.

Drove into Yosemite NP which was realy cool, then to Reno for Thanksgiving which was a tad boring. After that we drove to salt lake city (cleanest and nicest city i've been to) n went up to the mountains to learn to ski. Then we drove down to c Arches NP. It was cool but Yosemite was aot better.

From Arches we drove to Chicago (4 days) which is a cool city. We went up to the skydecks that overlook the city and went to see the big bean which were both great.

After that we drove to Detroit and visited the pawn shop from 'Hardcore Pawn' then headed down to a country town in Ohio called Versailles to meet up with friends we met in Vegas. They showed us around and took us to a girls highschool basketball game n we went to the local pubs.

Heading to Buffalo turned out to be expensive after we hit a deer n cost us $1500 to get the van fixed. First experience couch surfing in Buffalo was great, stayed with cool ppl n met all their mates n hung out. We both got tattoos there by an awsm artist. Last night there Sarah rolled her ankle bad in the snow and we spent the nxt day in hospital (ment to be driving to NYC)

NYC is an insane place we had so much fun. Seen times square, Brooklyn bridge, went to the top of the rockefeller, central park, 5th avenue and seen our 1st NFL game (NJ v SD) We spent christmas eating at a restaurant then walked through central park. New Years was fun in a pub in Times square, has a pretty crazy atmosphere.

After that we drove up to Boston where it was so cold we didnt want to go outside. We seen the Aquarium, the old library and went to KO Pies where they has Aussie meat pies (we were missing them alot!) We also found out we won a 3 day cruise around the Bahamas or Mexico.

Then we drove to Atlantic city. We stayed in one of the casinos on the boardwalk and our 2 days there were spent wandering the boardwalk then heading back to the hotel for happy hour. Went to a really good club one of the nights.

We were in Washington DC, for a couple days we went and seen the whitehouse and the lincoln memorial and a couple of the other memorials. Then a couple local friends took us to a duelling piano bar which was heaps of fun!

In Orlando Florida now but on the way down we stopped in Savannah for a couple of nights which is one of my fav places so far. The next 6 days in Orlando will be spent going to theme parks every day!

Been alot of sightseeing and alcohol and we are stoked we are only half way through
